Meet Arianna! She is eight years old and battled Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia.
When Arianna was just 14 months old, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia which required a bone-marrow transplant and intense chemotherapy. Her body struggled with the transplant resulting in Graft versus Host Disease, Hyperkalemia, Hypovolemia, and other bloodstream diseases. Multiple sections of her small and large intestines were removed to combat the GVHD disease, which destroyed her intestines. Adrianna and her family spent 409 days in the hospital, and she currently depends on IV nutrition, which she receives every night for 13 hours.
Arianna has been cancer free for seven years but lives and deals with the effects of her treatment every day.
Arianna is incredibly compassionate and kind toward everyone she meets. She will always be the first one to lend a helping hand when she sees someone in need. Arianna is a huge dog lover; and received a dog of her own on the 5th anniversary of her transplant! She loves to play soccer and lacrosse and is always ready to cheer on her favorite Philly sports teams (Go Eagles!).
Arianna was recently in our 2023 King of Prussia Fashion Funds the Cure event and walked the runway during her Dream Walk as a Teacher!
