The 5K and Stadium Stair Climb Challenge pushes participants to go farther, climb higher, and rally together in a powerful show of strength for children battling cancer. This endurance event unites the community in a shared mission to end childhood cancer — one step at a time.

Why We Run – Vincent’s Story

We would like to thank you for joining us for this very important cause and fight. This is a race that is near and dear to our hearts. Our journey began the summer of 2021, when our youngest son, Vincent was diagnosed with Stage II Rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of cancer that mainly affects children.

Our world felt like it was crumbling before our eyes, but we NEVER lost faith or hope. Vincent went through 10 months of front-line treatments which included; chemotherapy and proton radiation, and 6 months of maintenance chemotherapy that followed his frontline protocol.

We were blessed throughout the entire course of treatments with miracles of healing and strength. We are happy to say Vincent is in remission and thriving.

As parents, we needed to find a way to keep our spirits lifted and strong for the sake of our family. Running was a way for us to take a mental break. We ran almost daily during Vincent’s treatments. We would reflect and pray during our running sessions. During this time of reflection, we dreamt up this race, a way that we can advocate for life saving research and celebrate amazing warriors.

Along our journey we met some amazing people fighting this battle and their fight also became our fight. We hope you join us to race for a cure and make a difference for our children. NOBODY FIGHTS ALONE. -The DiTinno Family
