One of Washington, D.C.’s most prestigious event venues, the Mellon Auditorium is a masterpiece of Neoclassical architecture. With soaring Doric columns, gilded interiors, and sweeping views of the National Mall, this historic landmark stands out within the Federal Triangle. Since President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated the auditorium on February 25, 1935, the venue has hosted everything from presidential galas to the signing of the NATO treaty.
Located within the Federal Triangle, the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium sits directly on Constitution Avenue between 12th and 14th Streets NW, placing it just steps from the National Mall’s museums and monuments and a short walk from the White House. With a nearby Washington Metro station, the auditorium is easily accessible for both locals and visitors alike.
