About The McLemore Boys
The McLemore Boys are a father and son duo who believe in Faith first, family second and then all the rest will fall naturally into place. John Sr, former owner, and CEO/President of Masterbuilt, spent his life running the family business with the Ole Man and his siblings. From the age of 15, John II began working his way from the warehouse to departments like cus¬tomer service, product development and marketing for the company with his dream of working with his dad just like John Sr did with the Ole Man. Their love of food came from cooking in their backyard with the Ole Man and in the kitchen with MeMaw, family and friends, camping trips and testing the latest invention for the family business. Today, they travel the country as masters of everything grilling and smoking sharing some of their favorite recipes, most memora¬ble stories, and life lessons with all of you. From national TV, radio, podcasts, and social media; to NASCAR races, Super Bowl’s or charitable events, they love meeting new friends, learning new recipes and sharing their expertise with you.
About John McLemore
I have had the privilege of working in a family business my entire life. I started working with my dad, Dawson McLemore (whom I call “Ole Man”), in our backyard when he was running M & M Welding, and later worked on building the Masterbuilt brand globally for nearly fifty years. Now in a whole new capacity that isn’t limited to the walls of Masterbuilt, I’m honored to work with my son John II. With passion and excitement for cooking, entertaining, and sharing the goodness we want to show you what we love to do. I am so proud to share our recipes and personal stories with all of you as, father and son, we continue the journey started by the Ole Man, the original McLemore Boy.
About John McLemore II
I’ve also had the privilege of working with my dad in our family business since I was fifteen. It’s always been a part of our lives and we’re all very fortunate and thankful that our family business, Masterbuilt, has been great. The honor to have a career as third generation working with my dad and my PawPaw as a mentor is priceless. The impact of Masterbuilt’s product history in creating meals to be shared with loved ones, that leave a special memory from a football tailgate, holiday gathering, family reunion, or other get-together with friends and family, is inspiring. I’m excited to continue working with my dad and sharing our journey with all of you as we keep doing what we love the most: cooking, entertaining, and just having fun.
