Letter from Patti and Carlos Thomas
Each April, the Thomas family traditionally has held a fundraiser in memory of our beloved Grandson Jonathan (JJ) Thomas. The intent of this gathering has always been to raise attention about the struggles of children dealing with cancer.
This past year has been difficult for all of us, but it has been even more strenuous for families with pediatric cancer in their lives. Trying to keep a child with cancer safe during normal times is a constant battle, and during a pandemic is even more of a challenge.
While we regretfully will not be able to hold our fundraiser in person this year, we are still hopeful that you will choose to support the memory of JJ by contributing to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, which is headquartered here in Tampa Bay and is the Charity Navigator top-rated pediatric cancer research non profit in the country. Your donations to NPCF will support their mission of funding pediatric cancer research across a network of more than 25 children’s hospitals throughout the country. Additionally, your gift will support the efforts of the NPCF locally through their “Safety Net” program which assists families in the Tampa Bay area.
Please consider donating through this link: www.NationalPCF.org/Thomas. We sincerely thank you for your thoughtful generosity in celebration of the life of our precious Grandson Jonathan, and look forward to the time when we can all gather once again in celebration and tribute.
With Hope for a cure,
Patti and Carlos Thomas
