This local Lemonade Stand has raised over $100,000 for pediatric cancer research!
The Thorn Collection of Coldwell Banker Realty’s Belleair & The Beaches office knows that when life gives you lemons, the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF) makes lemonade! The Thorn Collection, led by Martha Thorn, held its 7th Annual Lemonade Stand event for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation in Belleair Bluffs on Thursday, September 24th.
Martha and her team assembled bags of sealed lemonade and goodies for those that donated, and the NPCF received 100% of the proceeds. The Thorn Collection has raised more than $100,000 over the last seven years for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation!
Only 4% of government funding is allocated for pediatric cancer research. That is unacceptable. Martha and her team are dedicated to the cause and are on a mission to help fill the gap and find a cure for childhood cancer. “Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children in the U.S. The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation serves a vital role in funding research in hopes of discovering a cure for this dreaded disease,” said Thorn.
