HOW TO JOIN THE 43 Challenge™

43 Ideas to Get Started

Getting started with the NPCF’s 43 Challenge™ is extremely easy. You can literally do anything! If you can dream it, you can do it. Below we have generated a list of ideas to help you raise funds and awareness for the 43 kids diagnosed with cancer each day. Use your imagination and HAVE FUN! Tag us on social media for a chance to have your 43 Challenge™ highlighted. 

  1. Donate to the NPCF ($4.30, $43, $430). No matter the amount you have to give, no amount is too big or small. 
  2. Join our “Walking Funds the Cure Virtual Edition Presented by Outback Steakhouse” and walk for 4 minutes and 30 seconds every day or walk 43 miles in the next 43 days. 
  3. Join our “Fishing Funds the Cure All American Fishing Tournament and aim to catch 43 fish in the next 43 days
  4. Start a Facebook Fundraiser with a $43 goal. 
  5. Join our “Fashion Funds the Cure” – Post a picture of you in 43 of your most fashionable outfits over the next 43 days and post them on social media.  Dress down or up as you work from home.
  6. Join our “Cut and Color Funds the Cure
    1. Guys – grow a beard over the next 43 days and challenge your network to support your fundraising goal.
    2. Ladies – color your hair “orange” and support our cause
  7. Participate in our “Brewing Funds the Cure” – and donate a dollar for every beer or cup of coffee you drink over the next 43 days
    1. Purchase coffee from our partner: Kahwa Coffee
  8. Invite 43 of your friends to like us on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn.
  9. Engage in our “Cooking Funds the Cure” – raise funds and link to your home cooked meals 
  10. If you purchase anything on Amazon, use AmazonSmile, and select the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
  11. Get active and join our “Fitness Funds the Cure” – work out at home and raise a dollar for every exercise / challenge you create/accomplish
    1. Challenge your friends to do a ’43 workout’, which includes 43 reps of each exercise. Video your workout and post to social media to raise awareness and funds for the NPCF.
  12. Have your kids participate in “Playing Funds the Cure” – host a virtual board or active game with friends and raise funds
  13. Simply start your own creative “Do It Yourself” fundraiser
  14. Submit your artwork to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation for our Annual Art Calendar. 43 children are diagnosed with cancer every day. Help save their lives.
  15. Email 43 people and ask them to join us and to donate to NPCF. 
  16.  Virtual spa day with 43 friends raising awareness and funds for the NPCF.
  17. Streaming movie event. 
  18. Engage 43 friends to participate in a “Best Dressed Pet” Contest and share your pet’s picture on social media to raise awareness and funds for the NPCF. 
  19. Take 43 minutes to read a couple of the NPCF Stories of Hope.
  20. Take 43 minutes to peruse the NPCF programs, sign up to learn more about your favorite program.
  21. Contact a band to host a virtual concert and join Music Funds the Cure.
  22. Send 43 children and their families battling cancer, an encouraging message of hope.
  23. Start an online game challenge with 43 of your friends.
  24. Submit favorite recipes for NPCF Cooking Funds the Cure, Cook Book.
  25. 43-day fitness challenge. Do some form of exercise; yoga, cardio, taichi, etc. for 43 days straight and raise awareness while doing your exercises. 
  26. Join us in supporting our partners during these difficult times.
  27. 43 days of cooking. Cook a homecooked meal, and post it to NPCF – #CookingFundsTheCure on social media.

  32. Buy and try 43 different types of beer over the next 43 days and review the beers online using the #BrewingFundstheCure. 
  33. Live stream karaoke on social media. Ask donations for your performance to be donated to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
  34. If you own a website, ask your customers to donate .43 cents to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
  35. Have kids? We have a calendar that is created by kids. This is a fun project your kids can do, and help the NPCF raise funds and awareness for our fight against pediatric cancer.
  36. Grow your hair/beard for the next 43 days. Post on social media #CutandColorFundstheCure to spread awareness. 
  37. Post a positive video or text message for kids battling cancer on social media. #Do43.
  38. Create a 43-day challenge for yourself. Document your efforts and share your journey using the Do43.
  39. Host a trivia night with the subject of Pediatric Cancer. Throughout the game, inform participants of science, technological advancements, cancer facts, and the NPCF.
  40. Support our partners through takeout and online purchases. You can view our partners online here. 
  41. 6 Days / 43 Ways to Make a Difference. Post a video of yourself doing each activity and ask your network to donate $6 daily for six consecutive days to join the fight to find answers.
  42. Sign up to volunteer 43 hours over the next year to the NPCF and help save kid’s lives. 
  43. Email us 43 ideas you have for getting involved. Your ideas could help save children battling cancer.
